SXSW LONDON
VARIOUS LOCATIONS
SXSW lands in London for the first week of June, taking over East London venues with their signature blend of music, tech, and creative chaos. While the festival brings its global network to the capital, we’re mainly excited about Malthus headlining on June 6th with his new live show.
Malthus is a Lancashire artist who's been quietly building something special in London's queer rave scene his work blurs the lines between live music, movement, and film. Evolving from dark bedroom scores to full-scale audio-visual experiences, his sound pulls from club, trance, dub, drill, and pop, weaving in operatic vocals with his signature rap style. This premiere of his debut album and audio-visual show promises to be a highlight.

DON'T TOUCH MY FRO!
A rising underground collective playing the very best in afro-centric forward facing grooves. DTMF! is a monthly radio show and party led by Babajide Tikare and Tolu.
This summer they returns to MOT for a soulful summer gathering featuring seasoned DJ/producer Nat Wendell, whose London-born, Berlin-based sound captivates audiences with unmistakable swing. Regular at Heideglühen and Panorama Bar, Wendell crafts sonic journeys rooted in garage groove with influences from London's sound system culture and New York's '90s house scene. Joining him is Belgian scene veteran DTM Funk, creative director of Antwerp's Traum club, for a back-to-back with Baba.
Completing the lineup is Kisa, a Utopia resident and former Sample Chief organizer known for her healing selections spanning house, funk, salsa, and bruk. This evening promises to be drenched in soul, moving from house and acid to boogie and funk in true DTMF style.

Club Are presents its biggest edition yet, taking over Hackney Bridge both inside and out. This queer-led, inclusive event explores the sun as a source of rhythm and collective energy, featuring a lineup spanning progressive house, hard house, tech-house, and techno. Known for their party aesthetic to be just as striking as its sound, the immersive art program includes large-scale inflatable sculptures by Kalman Pool and site-specific light installations by Nicole Gordon.
As an event that seamlessly blends progressive dance music, visual arts, and fashion, Club Are creates what organizers describe as "a melting pot where different influences and mediums can come together and coexist." The event features ambient DJ sets from Gloria Rose, Li Yi Lei, Lo-Low, and cass playing back-to-back with Mola Mola.

BOUDICA
Born from Samantha Togni's journey from Italy's punk scene to finding her chosen family in London's queer community, Boudica embodies her belief that "music can't exist without a message or statement." Named after a queer-coded ancient queen, this isn't just another club night—it's a platform giving LGBTQ+ artists the representation they deserve.
Tonight welcomes the "techno Tinkerbell" herself—Raven makes her first FOLD appearance with those dark, genre-bending sets blending acid, trance, and 2000s nostalgia that made her a Berghain regular. KVKN flies in from Ecuador for their UK debut, fresh from founding LGBTQ+ festival El Semillero. Local hero ASHTREY finally gets her Boudica moment after supporting DJ HEARTSTRING at the Roundhouse, while S3BA returns with genre-defiant sounds that turn bodily autonomy into protest energy.
This is "a space for those who want to get lost in the wilderness"—where people push boundaries, mess with aesthetics, and throw the hottest looks whilst dancing to beats that carry punk's collectiveness into electronic music's future.
20/06
TECHCOUTURE
London's "juiciest rave" returns with Tech Couture, the colourful departure from industrial techno created by Bessie Armitage and Ollie Hajjar. This vibrant, inclusive techno party brings the "SXCiest" lineup featuring Anabel Arroyo, Mosai Artist, Paula Koski, Philippa Pacho, and Renewise in the main room. The steam room welcomes Pablo Bozzi for their first all-night-long journey, mixing SXC house for the summer celebration.
After four years of throwing parties, this duo spotted a gap for techno's less self-serious side, creating events that are "hot, sweaty, and SXC af." Expect equinox heat and Gemini chaos as Tech Couture continues to redefine London's techno landscape with their signature blend of serious music and playful energy.

PLAYBODY
Creative collective and architectural design studio playbody returns to their beautiful Hackney Wick warehouse space for another immersive community celebration. This isn't just another party—it's their "ode to human connection" and answer to soulless clubs and sterile dancefloors. As they put it: "we are bored—we want to play."
The collective transforms their warehouse through immersive installations and performances, creating spaces that prioritise genuine human connection over the "same old way of doing things." While the lineup is yet to be announced (DM for password), expect the same thoughtful curation that made their V&A East Storehouse event so special. This is playbody's home turf, where their vision of reimagining social spaces through bold design and community-focused programming comes alive.

TWISTED FESTIVAL
The long-awaited return of Twisted Festival arrives this summer, reimagined and rewired for 2025. Admittedly not actually in London (but still with strong London presence), this intimate 300-person gathering is set beneath the trees in Hampshire. These three days of emergent electronic music with sound baths, meditation, yoga, speed dating, and dance performances are sure to deliver the promised "party utopia that explores the boundaries of electronic music."
The festival maintains its no-frills charm with carefully curated lineup that punches above its weight. Scattered across an idyllic section of woodland with pillows and hammocks creating hidden lounges, attendees can pitch up wherever they choose. This wonderful weekend attracts beautiful, friendly people who embody the elevated community spirit of dance culture—less boutique micro-festival, more rave weekender for those seeking consistently excellent dance music.

RISPOSTE
Immerse yourself in London's queer scene at Riposte, the boundary-breaking event that transforms iconic venues into multi-room wonderlands mixing techno with art. This vibrant celebration of unapologetic self-love particularly champions the "wtf" side of queer community expression, featuring two dancefloors, one playroom, and live performances.
The event includes a huge clothes swap where you can bring something and leave with something new, or even set up your own stall. Riposte isn't just a party—it's a celebration of the diverse expressions of queer community, creating spaces where the most unconventional and creative sides of identity can flourish alongside seriously good techno programming.

BRAINCHILD FESTIVAL
Brainchild Festival returns with "Desire Lines," their sold-out summer celebration that showcases emerging musicians, DJs, and theatre-makers. Hyfae is founded by one of the Brainchild founders, making this project particularly close to our heart.
The River Stage flows from SE London's experimental sounds to NYC's ethereal vocals and French-Senegalese rhythms, closing with a special improvised collaboration. As evening falls, the dancefloor transforms with genre-defying electronic sets and trusted back-to-back collaborations that keep bodies moving until late. Meanwhile, the Piano room and grounds host intimate new works from writers and performers—"masters of clever silliness" that leave audiences questioning things they'd never considered.
Art installations, marketplace sellers, and talks complete this celebration of emerging talent—including fashion curated by Hyfae—embodying Brainchild's mission to nurture young artists and give them space to engage creatively with what matters to them.

Mama's favourite foursome Horse Meat Disco holds down Stage 2 all day long, ensuring non-stop groove from start to finish. This outdoor celebration captures everything that makes Honey Dijon a global force—her ability to unite crowds through pure house music joy while maintaining the authentic spirit that's made her a legend.

MAIDEN VOYAGE FESTIVAL
BURGESS PARK
Three of London's leading queer club curators join forces for what promises to be the most mega party this summer. PXSSY PALACE, ADONIS, and TECH COUTURE's programming expertise transforms Maiden Voyage into London's underground scene taking over Burgess Park with the kind of uncompromising vision that's made these nights legendary.
Azealia Banks headlines the PXSSY PALACE mainstage - a collaboration 10 years in the making after her sold-out London shows last year. TECH COUTURE brings their cutting-edge programming vision to their stage, while ADONIS delivers what The Face describes as "hypnotising techno and house beats, a bevy of bare-skin bodies romping through the night in a glimmering sheen of sweat." Sounds pretty good to me.

RALLY
SOUTHWARK PARK
Born from a grassroots ethos that gives local venues curating power alongside Resident Advisor and NTS, Rally has evolved into something genuinely special—where cult DJs and indie darlings share the same muddy field of bold new ideas and unrestrained creative expression.
This year's lineup captures that perfect Rally blend: Astrid Sonne's experimental soundscapes, CASISDEAD's genre-defying energy, and Ben UFO's legendary selections. Expect seamless mixes amid towering plane trees and those beautifully jarring tonal shifts between chugging basslines and guitar-strumming balladry on adjacent stages.
Zero frills, big time thrills—this is independent culture at its finest.

BODY MOVEMENTS
SOUTHWARK PARK
"Here we celebrate queer bodies in club culture." This is where queer exploration is encouraged and expression flourishes across five bespoke stages with high-end sound and lighting designed to enhance your dance.
60+ artists and crews deliver the party you deserve, with Mura Masa's DJ A/V set alongside HAAi, Peach, FAFF, and I.JORDAN. Cakes Da Killa performs live while collective energy flows from ADONIS, Pxssy Palace, Fèmmme Fraîche, and Power Dance Club.
This year invites allies to rally around the community, share in collective joy, and stand in solidarity through dance. As co-founder Clayton Wright puts it: "Queer & Trans bodies are under constant scrutiny and attack worldwide. Now more than ever, we need spaces that allow us to be ourselves, celebrate our music and culture, and celebrate each other."
